Where to Start Church Discipleship
On the first page of Discipleship I brought up three positions that most people in leadership find themselves. 1. Being successful at discipleship. 2. Having a desire for discipleship but not understanding why people don’t have the same desire that you have. 3. Being unconcerned with discipleship. Let me address the former first. I want to address each one of these things, and I believe that you should be familiar with each one of these because they can become the cycle of your ministry.
Being successful at discipleship
One of the things you should consider when you have been successful at discipleship is that it can change or fade with time, different people, and different circumstances.
Having a desire for discipleship but not understanding why people don't have the same desire that you have.
Being unconcerned with discipleship
We addressed the person having no desire for discipleship on the homepage. And logically you would not be here if you have never had the desire to disciple people. So you are perhaps burned out. You have been in ministry for a long time and it has taken its tole. In many ways I cannot tell you something you don't already know and understand. So our approach will be more to rejuvenate and refresh you, to encourage you and help you get back to the place that you once were.
There are many thing that we need to consider when creating a discipleship program within your church.
